Encore Performance of A Song for Coretta Comes to MLK Park
By popular demand, A Song for Coretta returns for a special encore performance at Martin Luther King Jr. Park on Tuesday, July 21 at 6:00 PM.
Written by acclaimed playwright Pearl Cleage, A Song for Coretta follows five women who meet while waiting in line outside Atlanta’s Ebenezer Baptist Church to pay their respects to Coretta Scott King. As they wait, their conversations reveal their different backgrounds, experiences, and connections to her legacy.
The performance is directed by Dr. Melanie Curtis-Andrews and features cast members Ivy Ebanks, Shirin Paulino, Cierra Watkins, Kamiah Andrews, and Naanay Berhanu.
